"I Tried Japanese Sword Fighting"

I came across this video somewhere/how. I really can't remember. That said, I finally watched it and actually enjoyed this guy telling about his first experience with Japanese fencing.

Something that went through my mind as he described his experience, was how perceptions and understanding changes as one begins to learn about something in depth. He found similarities between kendo and playing the shamisen and that was how he found his initial similarity. I can only wonder if he stays with it, and what he will perceive as different later on. A beginner will understand things one way, but someone who has practiced for say, 5 years, will perceive it differently. Likewise, someone who has practice their art for 20 years or more will see things even more different. It is difficult for me to say one is 'more right' than the others, but the level of understanding is different.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Enjoy!
