Baji Quan Beggar Stick Fight applications

This cropped up in one of my feeds the other day and I thought it was pretty cool.

No. It's not really swordplay, but it does have some of the same elements to it. I love to watch and study classical weapons like this. It really connects you to the cultural history.

Enjoy!

NHK Sports Japan — Kendo / Nito

Yeah. I haven't posted much in a while, so I thought I'd drop a couple of things in here today.

I just finished watching this on YouTube, and it's pretty good. It gives a basic introduction to kendo, competition, history (Primarily on Musashi) and the Nito-ryu style of kendo. There is some great competition footage, old and new, in there with analysis by Alex Bennett. It's 30 minutes, so get comfy.

Enjoy!

Leg Sweep!

This is over on Facebook. A leg sweep in done wonderfully in a tournament. Presumably, this is a Tokyo Police tournament, since they follow older rules that allow for this type of thing.

I'd love to learn it though!
