This is a cool video that popped up in my Facebook feed with katas and demonstrations of various styles. They include: kyudo, kenjutsu, iaido, iaijutsu, odachi-jutsu, naginata-do, and more.

Jack Dempsey's Championship Fighting

Not really sword related, but still an interesting read. Even if you only have a passing interest in the fighting arts, then you should give it a look.

It's in PDF form and is about 104 pages long.

Enjoy!

Kendo "Too Complex" for the Olypics (?)

Here's an interesting article from the New York Times. I normally don't like the Times, but this popped up in one of my feeds and is actually pretty good.

If you are wondering, I don't think kendo should be in the Olympics.

Feel free to read the article and come to your own decision. There can't be a right or wrong to this. There are pros and cons to both sides.

There is a full article on the Guinness web page. Isao Machii is pretty awesome, holding multiple speed records with the katana!

Enjoy!
